Eating Mindfully - Week 2
I’m eating when I’m hungry.
I’m hungry then I eat.
I don’t eat anymore with my mind. There are a few times but no more than three or four that I was eating with my mind. Something like a little biscuit or chocolate spread on bread. However, I do it with consciousness, and I know I do it not because I’m hungry but because my mind needs it.
I eat small pieces and littler than before. I’m chewing and I eat very slowly.
There are amazing moments when the man in my life finishes before me. It always makes me smile.
In a few days, I’m going to be in week number three in my daily eating mindfulness plan. I post this so I can hear myself. I post it because I know you hear me…
My goals for the next week:
1. To chew.
2. To eat slowly.
3. To eat when I’m hungry.
4. To stop feeding using my mind.
5. To eat healthy.
6. To keep on with sports.
7. To be happy.
8. To love myself.
9. To love myself more.
10. To post to you guys.

Eclipse
He revolves,
He shines
And then is dark
He is omnipresent.
He is part of you,
He is part of us.
He is the magic of the night.
Look up now!
You can see his face
Maybe smiling
Maybe singing the blues
And for a moment
It will appear as if in a movie reel.

Mindful Eating Diary - Day 6 & 7
It’s Friday today and I weighed myself. I lost almost 2 kilos and I am not even on a diet. I started to do simple things like chewing my food, eating slowly, being focussed and eating healthy food. My body loves it and I feel great.
I discovered that when I am under pressure or something is going bad with my day, I eat my food faster. However, this time I stopped and I began to think about it. I know that yesterday I ate my food faster than has been normal this week, but this time, I was aware that I did it. This is a big step for me.
I have a memory from childhood where I secretly slipped food away and ate when and where nobody was looking. It reminds me of a cat snatching food from the street and scared that someone will see her.
I don’t believe that I have shared my biggest fears that I’ve had since childhood, here in my blog, with the whole universe. But I know, that I have changed and that it’s normal and that it’s better to tell the truth and not to lie to myself.
A slow eater enjoys food much better than a fast eater. It is clear to me now.
It is a week into my new journey and it is going great. I am in focus, I love it and I know it is just the beginning.
By the way, I feel beautiful!

Mindful Eating Diary - Day 5
Day Five,
There is a big desire, desire to taste everything. I know it lasts just a few seconds in my mouth, but still, it is an amazing feeling. I don’t know how to explain it but maybe if you love this beautiful part of the universe that’s called “food”, then you can understand.
Food can make me happy, food can make me sing and really good food can make me dance. Through all my body, it’s a high feeling, like natural ecstasy and the taste is like music to my body.
For years, food also made me say. I suffered for years from self-blame and feelings of guilt from the food on my plate. I did not enjoy the food even though I was sure I did.
This journey makes me enjoy the food. I finally start to feel good about what I eat. I eat less and exactly on time and I even discovered that I can find enjoyment from some foods I could not eat before.
I start to feel healthy in my mind…
"My actions are my only true belongings."

Mindful Eating Diary - Day 4
Day Four
I am not trying to make it difficult I’m just trying to flow with it. I understand that I am part of a process, my life process. Maybe you ask yourself what can be so hard about eating well, to chew my food and to live a healthy life.
So let me tell you, it is very hard!
The normal mind says we live in this universe, we should feed ourselves with healthy food and we need to take care of ourselves and feel good. I am the part of the normal mind.
I grew up in a loving Moroccan family, such a loving family that we loved through our food. It’s was all about food and family, So yes, my parents forgot to give me the “book of life” but they did give me great advice and made me who I am today. Kindness is a big part of who we are. I don’t have any tools for my new journey, just my mind and the amazing support from the man who lives with me.
Morning meditation was great, I started today and I will keep on doing this each day. There were parts of the day during my lunch when I felt I was in a war with my food, which wanted to go down very fast before it was ready. I am more and more in peace with my new journey. I even felt for one moment like a leaf.

Mind to Mind
Returning home
At the end of the day
To something good
To something wonderful
Candlelight
Attracts me like a magnet
And you,
You Pulling me in
Into your arms
Now,
I am like a puppet on your strings
After years of solitude,
You are here with me,
Now I see myself
Through your mind
And I love what I see.

Mindful Eating Diary - Day 3
Day Three,
I'm beginning to understand the meaning of chewing.
I’ve started to challenge myself,
And I love it.
The flavors of the food make me dizzy,
In a nice way.
Every little piece of food seems to me to be the whole world.
I'm beginning to understand that I always loved food, but until this journey I did not enjoy it at all.
I also started to eat during the same hours, it helps me maintain focus.
I love this journey and I want to discover more.
Tomorrow is a new day with a new taste…

Mindful Eating Diary - Day 2
I woke up to a new day, trying to work on my old habit.
I found that if I prepare my day and what I’m going to eat,
Things will be much easier for me.
It was an interesting experience to think before I eat, to look at the food
And to chew it slowly, slowly.
I feel like I didn’t know until today what the taste of the pasta is, what is the taste of tomato,
And I discover that miracles can happen in my mouth whilst I chew.
So much flavor, so much colors, so much taste, like the whole universe.
Day 2 was a great success for me and I feel it’s a great start in my new journey.
“There is nothing else filling your mind as you chew – no projects, no worries, no “to-do” list, no sorrow, no fears, no anger, no past and no future. There is just the apple”. (Thich Nhat Hanh)

Mindful Eating Diary - Day 1
To Chew
What is it anyway?
It looks to me that food comes in and goes out
Without attention to what food is at all
Where it comes from, what it’s made from and so on
As a young girl, I grew up and nobody taught me how to live a good life
How to live a healthy life and the basic things like how to chew my food
When I was travelling in Thailand, I remember I was looking at the people
How slowly they ate, how they appreciated every grain of rice
How these grains made them happy
And me, I do appreciate life, I do appreciate food, human beings, happiness and all kind of moments
But it looks to me that I forgot what my body is and what my body really needs
What is the damage that I do to my body when I eat without thinking
I go on a new journey and I am going to tell you more about it very soon…....

Missy's Diary June 8
Enough,
I'm tired of counting calories
I wish I could love what I see in the mirror!!
Love without much thought
Just accept!
After 32 years I am who I am,
How did i not understand before?
The idea is to love myself five pounds more or less.
To Enjoy the things I eat,
And not regret later.
Anyway,
I know it sounds terrible right?
But it's not!
I do love myself,
But there are moments
You know...
Like all of us.
I am a woman,
With a woman body,
With a woman mind,
With a woman thought.
And that was another thought.....

Simply You
All the simple things
You do,
Sweet Moments
As dreams coming true.
All the things you say,
With simple voice
Moving my ears,
Word by word,
Deep into my heart.
All the good feelings,
That intensify inside me,
That strengthen me,
And fill me with hope.
All of you,
Simply you,
fills me
with love.
