Missy's Diary Feb 23

In midwinter
Hot days have arrived
I went to tan

The list starts to fill up
I'm working on my new site
I continue to run
And enjoyed every minute of cooking in the kitchen

I realize more and more
What my capabilities are
They have no boundaries
I'm not going to stop .....

By the way .... He told me he loved me .....

Steps of Memory

Steps of memory
Never-ending stairs
Down...
Up...
Looking everywhere
There is another step that I should take.

Steps of memory
They do not lead anywhere
They remain in my memory
Each step is an eternal memory
In this universe.

Auschwitz-Birkenau

I feel your pain
Sometimes the pain increases
Your happy days
Not really happy
The pain is always in the background
Like sad music

I want you to forget everything
But this is not possible
Too sharp pain
Pain is a part of you

Your pain is part of me
Your loss strengthens me
Your loss makes me proud of who I am
Part of you
Part of your loss

You can not forget
Your loss
Our loss

You can not forget
The murder
Bleeding for years and years
Within each of us

You're getting stronger every day
From the people around you
Lifetime is still around
Fill you with love

This painting by David Sandum touched my heart the first time I saw it and not just because I am Jewish! ~ This painting invokes the horrible sense of this terrible place. I can feel the intense coldness and darkness. To think of the murder and the pain they felt there is unbearable. The Holocaust is not just a story ... it is a lifetime.

David is donating this painting to one of Israel's Holocaust Museums. He also has his own family story to tell as well!

More of David's amazing art can be seen here:

I dedicate this poem to my dear friend Edjo Frank who lost most of his family in the Holocaust.

Much Love to you  ♥

Missy's Daily Diary Feb 17

Admire the day
And be excited for the tomorrow,
Always go to bed with a smile
Whilst not being afraid of the face of fear.

I like these days
Of sun and smiles,
Knowing that no matter what
I will be Me -
Always....

We have in our home
Wars of tickles,
I am going to win!

To smile has no limits
Laughter no borders,
The joy comes from you -
You and me...
All of us...
We are One big ball of happiness.

Missy's Daily Diary Feb 15

After a long period of alone
Live alone
Being alone
I have someone special that I shared with him my life
The softness inside of me get stronger

I have fears
But I do not let them lead me in a dance of life

I'm still running
Almost every day
I have a running partner
It's so nice to run in two

Voices from the past are still attacking sometimes
But I leave them in the past

I focus on my life
I walk...
I live .....
Day after day
And enjoys

Oh, and I start to write a cooking blog .....;-)

My Shadow

My shadow and I
Dancing together
Left and right,
Who is leading?

My shadow and I
On a sunny day
Is always with me,
Everywhere I go
He is there.

My shadow and I,
He's not only shade for me
But also a sanctuary
In the dance of life.

My shadow and I
In moments of solitude
Venturing out
To a wild dance

Dream Machine

Dreams
Dreams who want to forge ahead
Very slowly
From the bubble of life
They come out

Dreams
Do not leave them as they are
Give them a place in life
They can be anything you want
Just Believe

Dreams
Come and go
Like an endless line
They are here
In each and everyone of us

When I saw the painting of Jonathan Otten
I felt that this is an imaginary line of my dreams
That  had burst forth from my consciousness.

Thank you for letting me feel this way!

My Anchor

Will you be a port
To a lonley ship?

Would you be my quiet
On the day of a storm at sea?

Will you save me
From drowning in a sea of confusion?

Will you be my anchor?

Anchor

Sometimes I feel
Like a ship
That it has no anchor
In a sea of confused
She sailed from moment to moment
To unknown
