On Victoria Road
In the street where I once lived,
I had a window
Overlooking the road,
From which, with a glass of wine
I watched the people pass by.
On Victoria Road
The street in which I lived,
Did quiet prevail
But never with a feeling of loneliness,
Like the blanket of walls covering you
Warming you with love.
On Victoria Road
The street where I did live,
I became who I am
Today.

In both good and bad, never forget where you came from—but let the good memories outweigh the bad ten to one! "A blanket of walls" adds another layer to your poem.
