They stand side by side

Seasons change
They are always there for each other
Live a life of trees

Beautiful. It reminds me of the ancient Greek legend of Philemon and Baucis, a couple deeply in love for a lifetime who get rewarded by the gods for their hospitality. They die at the same time and are changed into trees.
